Its a good thing right?
indies are by leaps and bounds the best part of the gaming industry. 'indies' no longer mean 'strange little 2d game' they also mean this:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/383120/Empyrion__Galactic_Survival/
You may notice that most of the games ever mentioned here never show up on any prominent spot on steam. I mean if you go digging around enough you'll find junk anywhere, but if you go lieterally digging for it, you sound odd for complaining about it.
It's like mean wandering into the ROm-Com aisle and saying: "All these sucktastic movies. Who the hell makes these? They shouldn't be in the store". Right before I go cash out a bag of showa era Godzilla and Gamera films. :-)
I don't like Rom-COm so I don't go digging for rom-com section when I'm looking for a movie. If I'm l;ooking for something new I typically look for it in places where I know I'm likely to find something worth while. Hence why I never look at New Releases . The only ciriteria for being seen there is that you're newly released.
Upcoming is even worse because then you just have to releasing soon and I really wonder why people even bother. Release dates almost never mean anything since there will almost always be delays.
As for Indies. I just put that term out of my head since it;s fundamentally meaningless these days., COD is technically Indie since it's self-published. and yes if the dev studio and the publishing label are both part of the same megacorp it counts as self-publishing. It's a Left and RIght arm scenario. Independent of each other but connected to the same brain.
Unless you're the two-headed man.
Oh, Furor made sure to copy the ills of EQ in WoW, complete with the paladin hate.
Funny that WoW's current EULA never applied to Furor, too...

You have 14 Days. If after that time the Plane is not properly tuned, I am deleting my characters, and cancelling all of my accounts. The rest of my guild will follow suit, as will several other guilds and people that play Everquest.
To be brief, I did not work my ass off, jumping through your idiotic hoops with my friends and guildmates, so I could go to a zone where only groups of 18 could enjoy the content. EVEN if past these initial moronic events I can finally get my entire guild in to raid with me, ♥♥♥♥ YOU GUYS. Seriously, ♥♥♥♥ YOU.
I cannot believe this... right now I'm just so pissed off. I am sitting here in the Plane of Time, and 3/4 of my guild is just sitting around while a group of 18 is repeatedly trying to beat one of the mini ring encounters. Don't you people have ANY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DECENCY? SMEDLEY WHY DON'T YOU STOP COUNTING YOUR MONEY AND START ISSUING ORDERS?
The tragic irony of creating the ultimate cockblock encounter in the form of the Rathe which requires 80 people to defeat and then to limit encounters in the Plane of Time to 18.
14 Days.... after that this site will change from the most popular EQ fan site on the internet to the most popular World of Warcraft fan site on the internet. I'm done playing ball with you useless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... it's my turn."
He hated paladins so bad that he staged protests (something that the WoW EULA now bans explicitly) to shut down EQ servers ... all because his Guardian wasn't the best.
that is the most bizzare thing I have read at least today if not this week.
why was this guy playing the game in the first place if he felt it was so unreasonable?
Gaming in those days was much more lenient. People said things then on forums and ingame that would've got them permabanned now (after these now devs excused themselves from their own EULA rules, too).
Now look at what Furor approves of in WoW today...

Engage in any conduct intended to disrupt or diminish the game experience for other players, or disrupt operation of Blizzard’s Platform in any way, including:
1. Disrupting or assisting in the disruption of any computer used to support the Platform or any Game environment. ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU TO DISRUPT THE PLATFORM OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF ANY GAME MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.
2. Harassment, “griefing,” abusive behavior or chat, conduct intended to unreasonably undermine or disrupt the Game experiences of others, deliberate inactivity or disconnecting, and/or any other activity which violates Blizzard’s Code of Conduct or In-Game Policies.
If folks haven't notice something about Blizzard undermining games, just look at Mark Kern (a former WoW team lead) and what happened to Firefall, too (while Blizzard was making Overwatch). Can't legally say he undermined that game, but it is a pattern. Just like what happened with the classic servers after Mark Kern brought Blizzard all those signatures for a classic vanilla server -- it imploded the private servers, too.
Read the post above you for a possible reason.
nope doesnt answer my question.
if he felt the game was so unreasonable having to 'jump thru hoops' my question is why was he playing?
you can bet your sweet little ass if i feel a game is making me 'jump thru hoops' I stop playing and play something else

Time to go play a video game, not forum games, Tux.
there is literally nothing in the quote below that suggests to me why a person continued to play a game that they expressed where unhappy with. nothing, zip, nada, not even a hint to as an answer.

Oh, before I forget: that threat post by Furor to SoE? Was made just before he joined Blizzard Entertainment with half of FoH guild, too.

As for Paladin Hate. Never really got that vibe in WoW. More just felt like Paladins never felt right. They never quite balanced them and to this day they really haven't found a sweet spot in WoW. at least in my opinio. No surprise that every time WoW added a class the other clasees got dumbed down.
WoW's actually reached the point where you can pay them for a preleveled character. Which pretty much means you can pay them to not have to play the game.
It had everything to explain why -- weeks later after that threat post, Furor was working for Blizzard Entertainment, along with half of the FoH guild.
Just because you don't like the answer, doesn't mean the answer wasn't there.
and the threats were pretty funny.
Blizzard if you dont meet my demands me and my guild are going to quit and that collective $100 a month will KILL the coffee budget on floor 10
