Heaven help the youtube market if youtube actually figures out a way to tell if ads are actually being seen. Because I know my ad filter's been doing a lovely job of blocking them.
But other than that It looks kinda nifty. Work was put into it.
That makes sense. "A horror game that looks well made? Time to milk it!"
You think it's bad now. Wait til MatPat devotes his next 20 game theories videos to it.
So yeah. a few players like a talk about it. you tubers hear about it and start doing live streams and letsplays and then more people start playing it and then more tubers jump on the bandwagon.
The only problem I have with these sorts of games is that they kinda have the same problem FNAF showed by the third game. Namely, the games seemed to be built less to be actually played and more to watch while someone else plays it.
FNAF:SL fell into that trap hard. It started from part 3 and only got worse from there. This game might actually wind up with the same fate
The art direction for the game is really good though. Its also got soem great theme and universe building going on
I now know it's a first person game, and I have a really hard time playing those. Motion sickness and that stuff. I tend to pass on them no matter the quality.
Besides, it wouldn't be the first time a fanbase that loved a game a little too much drove me away from trying it.
I never said I don't like things because people like them. Or else my library would be full of overwhelmingly negative games.
I meant to say an obsessive fan base, such as Fnaf, Undertale, etc, will drive me away from that game. Not that I have to explain it, it's just how I feel about these things.
And no, I don't even wear glasses.
FPS motion sickness is a well known thing actually. Never found trhe fanbase of FNAF or Undertale to be any worse than that for skyrimn. Then again i almost never really interact with other people or groups unless i can help it.
yeah. It does if nothing else capture a very distinct and at the same time unsettling art style. Much like FNAF. Last time I saw a game with taht deliberate style was Paper Sorceror.
