I'll never buy a Call of Duty game, personally, but I can guarantee Activision would not be okay with Steam allowing people to block their games entirely. Steam has to maintain a balance between keeping their customers happy (so developers have someone to sell to), and keeping developers happy (so Steam has something to sell its customers.)
Still as you say I suspect this is more than likely publisher influenced.
Nope. There's more likely some other tage associated with these games that's not on the OP's block list. And or there is something in his browsing, playing or shopping behaviour that leads the system to think he'll like them.
I can quite assure you that there isn't anything in my habits that remotely suggests I like them unless each time you mark them as "Not Interested" the system somehow figures that I didn't really mean it.....that I might change my mind.
The only type of games I really object to seeing is the japanese school girl stuff as I find that pretty disgusting - adults playing games in which school children get naked.....a big NO Thanks. If it was up to me all anime visual novels would be put into a seperate tab on steam and not shown anywhere else so that those people who (for whatever reason) enjoy seeing kids have relationships with each other can still do so but I wont have to see them to even click "not interested"..
Yes, it's beyond broken. But that is not my problem. It's Valves. I am no longer tenpted to buy anything directly here.
Their loss, not mine.
Couldn't agree more. It's absolutely broken, I can't even FIND stuff I want to buy anymore their store page is so convoluted and no longer even bother trying to search through the mess.
While it doesn't matter, I'm a main consumer of those nudity games. I just hope they appear on my radar, as I agree that finding things not suggested is difficult.
