Searching for items in inventory takes a long time.
My inventory is about 700 pages large and whenever I try to search for an item in my inventory or another Steam user who has a lot of items in their inventory, it takes too long. Sometimes I even get a crash in my browser.

How do I solve this problem? Is buying a better CPU fixes this issue? My CPU is currently an Intel 4910MQ. Please advise. Thanks.

Not much you can do. The Steam UI is not really made for having so much items in your inventory.
Its already lagging with like 50 pages for me, i dont even want to know how its with 700.
Maybe try to sort it out and only keep the stuff you need?
You can use plugins like Steam Inventory Helper for Chrome to mass convert unused stuff into gems or similar.
If you want to keep all your items then you have to live with the lag. I dont think a faster CPU will help, Steam is just not made for loading that many items into memory and displaying them.
