Are they green lit or published directly? Im here to play games not watch torture porn. Stop shoving them under "popular new releases", i know there are many NRA lunatics but still.
And for the OP, the "anime crap" is on Steam because it sells like hotcakes according to VALVE.
They had a interview a few weeks ago and Visual Novels and Japanese games in general are the biggest growing sales group on Steam over the last 2 years or so.
As you already wrote, there are a lot of people who like those games.
If you dont want to see them then either ignore them or use the filter function Steam offers you under Settings at the top to filter out the offensive tags so those games dont appear as often in your shop.
And then everybody can be happy.
There is no difference at all. It's a product for an audience. By your logic, I hope they take off all games with violence for the sake of violence, as that's something created by some twisted person.
Cold-blooded murder? Great, good kid!
Exposed breasts? Amigad, someone get an exorcist in here!
Dating sims? Visual Novels?
Or is it a visual style you don't like?
An imaginary game, then? Containing a +/- n*i component?
Turn on tv, switch channels, read books, be aware of the world standing.
Watch anime, read manga, feel with drawn characters, say unrelatable words to the rest of the context.
Note how games have nothing to do with Real Life either.
And, is fantasy all that bad?
I don't watch TV. Too much "alternative facts" all over the place recently.
So what makes Jon Snow more "real" than Sachi Komine?
Not much of a difference as to take it off everyone's views.
Besides, Anime may also be a recreation. Ever heard of the Slice-of-Life genre?
