Shipping country different to billing country
I have a UK bank account and living in the Netherlands for a while. I don't have a Dutch bank account so can't change my billing address. Trying to buy the controller and link but can only enter a UK address for shipping. Is there any way of getting around this? Bit stupid sending it from Tilburg in the Netherlands to the UK to come back to me in the Netherlands

Is it possible for you to get a Steam Wallet Code and then try to change your Store region here?

Yeah I can but doesn't my PayPal have to match that address too? The faq says it needs a payment method from the Dutch address, which I don't have

Well, basically. I'm saying change the Store region from: https://store.steampowered.com/account/change_country/

Then, this:

What if I want to purchase in a currency or region other than what is shown?
Your store country must be set to the country where you currently reside and you must have a local payment method you can use to make purchases. All available payment methods in your current region are listed during the checkout process. If you are unable to make purchases in your current region, look for Steam-compatible CD Keys and/or Steam Wallet Codes available for purchase at your local gaming retail stores.

Buy a Steam Wallet Code, redeem that on your account and try to use its funds to buy the Steam Controller. Then I don't think your address on PayPal should matter one bit.

Do note this though (which might be the problem you're describing as it would render your PayPal useless while you're in the country.)
What if I spend time in more than one country?
You can update the store country each time you change locations as long as you use a payment method that matches your Steam country setting. Keep in mind that changing the store/Wallet country will be permanent and cannot be changed again until you move back to the other country. If you frequently move between countries, we suggest choosing the country that is your primary residence.

You could also look for a store (basically gamestop) which sells the controller & link.....as far as you dont want from steam while it may be discounted.

And beware, as far as i heard you will get charged shipping costs for both items extra, not for both together.

^ This, or ask a friend in the UK to buy it for you (and you pay him in person).

Or this:

You could make another Steam -account and use the Steam Wallet Code (with Dutch Store Region) on that though.

Then you should still be able to use "UK" as your current account's Store region and continue using PayPal on your primary account.

Your call. :)

Why not buy the controller and link of Amazon, it's cheaper as far as I can tell.

Probably the best option.

Never thought of Amazon, just assumed it was only available on steam. Will check Amazon now. Thanks everyone
