Game not launching - KERNEL32.dll issues
The game shows an error screen instead of launching.
"Entry point not found: the procedure entry point CreateFile2 could not be located in the dynamic library KERNEL32.dll"

I'm on 64 bit windows 7, graphics drivers (GTX 750, OpenGL 4.4) updated yesterday, admin permissions didn't help and I got all required VS redists. Only running Firefox in the background.
Validating game files didn't help.

I have validated my OS with System File Checker, didn't find any issues.

Others on Discord have had this issue as well.

Same problem. Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium.
I ran into this WWE 2K20 thread with the same error, and it seems like the issue is related to Windows 7 not being supported: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1015500/discussions/0/1609400247643731817/
I mean that would make sense if it's missing something in the Kernel dll.

However, the store page of Amnesia: Rebirth states that it supports Windows 7 as an operating system.

I guess it's Win7 fault because it's works just fine for me and many people on Win10.

Yeah it's definitely a Win7 problem. Really hope it gets fixed soon. Apparently steam really screwed them over with improper file distribution and such.

It's an issue with steam's file distribution itself, not Frictional Games. Please let them work out everything before making any decisions.
