Once ye have gone thought the expensive part it's time to finally set sail. First ye go to either the navigation table or the ship steering wheel and select "Chart Course." This will bring ye to a map of the entire ocean, which should be emerald, but meridian is fine too. Ye should be able to see paths between yer island and a nearby island from the maps ye bought earlier. Now ye select an island that has a path to it and click the "chart course" button in the bottom-left. The path should be highlighted, showing that ye marked the path. Set whether ye are pillaging or evading and the difficulty level if available, hire swabbies and put up a job offer to allow players to request to join, which will appear in the Ahoy tab when available. Now when ye are ready, get on navigation and click the "sail" button to begin explorin the high seas.
Aye, it is quite expensive even compared to yer new ship, but that be the cost for being a pirate.
