Thank you for this, Why is it not possible for ZX though? There is NDS UnDUB rom which uses Japanese game as a base and it switches text to English.
I swear Capcom makes the WORST release choices. Like, I bought this just to support Mega Man as a franchise but honestly, this whole collection is lazy. It's 2020 and why can't there be option in a FREAKING PC RELEASE to play with Japanese voices without the need for the damn mods. I wish Capcom can patch this but I knoiw 100% they won't.

In that respect, they succeeded massively at what they were intending on doing. There was probably never any intention on them making the English versions of the games any more like the Japanese versions, because they intended on including the Japanese versions anyway.
Given that this is in fact a porting job, they really probably should have just made the language and regional differences individual toggles in a menu somewhere so you can mix and match things like the blood splatters, English text, and Japanese dub without modding the game to have your own ideal experience.
This way, they would have pleased pretty much everyone aside those who nitpick slight word differences like replacing "Die" with "Perish" (It's the same exact thing, it's less censorship and more preference to how one sounds out loud) and the entitled ones who refuse to buy because the remastered tracks weren't included as an in game option despite the fact that Capcom doesn't have the rights to those tracks (Legally they belong to Inti-Creates) and they were never created with the intention of being put in the games to begin with, but rather were more of a cool bonus for fans to listen to.
I honestly do hope the collection gets an update at some point not only fixing the issues that make it actually unplayable such as the crashes related to save data, but also implementing more quality of life features into all versions of the game (Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC) so that we don't need mods to play the games like how we want them. If they could somehow acquire the rights to the Remastered tracks and make it into say a $5 DLC I would definitely buy that too.
The dubs and music? I get it. But I've seen people get genuinely offended by not having blood in their game, as if not having it would make their game about futuristic sentient robots be not realistic enough and we can't have that, can we?
Those who nitpick words being changed in the English text from one word to a slightly different word that means the exact same thing I also think are a little too eager to call out for censorship where it doesn't exist. (Replacing "Die" with "Perish" for example isn't a "Oh we can't have the word die in our game" moment, because "Perish" means literally the same thing, and might even sound darker in comparison. Either the changes they made were done to bring the text closer to the Japanese, or they simply thought that certain words rolled off the tongue better when read aloud.)
I can understand those who want the Japanese dub voices though. ZX wasn't dubbed at all aside from in Japanese, so it's really the only way to experience it dubbed outside of the anime cutscenes. ZXA on the other hand has a hilarious "so bad it's good" type English dub that I personally prefer, but that some people might not like compared to the more serious tone of the Japanese dub.
That kind of stuff is right there together with Mega Man X2's whole "prophecy" thing, where a bad translation misses out a really important detail of the story. So I'd be totally down for a way to fix the script of the game, if it's even possible.
I honestly couldn't care less if Japanese VAs here were veterans or amateurs, any person who is not deaf knows what is more enjoyable to their ear and even the most amateur Japanese VAs are better than this horrible English dub of ZXA. Heck, just because someone is amateur it does not automatically mean they are bad. I have seen tons of English fandubs of many different stuff and they sound by miles better than official dubs done by so called professionals.
Also, you don't need to understand language to be able to tell if the actor is good or not. You can still feel their emotions and tone even if not the meaning which can give clear image if VA is trying their best or just sucks.
Didn't the four Mega Men survive the fall of Ouroboros, tho?
As for the secret ending, the impression I got was that they died in the explosion, but were brought back in backup bodies by Thomas.
