Can you replay levels in Zero 1?

Title kind of says it all. Interested in if you can change your rank to get the boss upgrades by replaying levels.

No. I don't believe you can replay in Zero 1. You can in the later games but the boss won't respawn and you won't receive a rank.

You don't get anything extra by being on Rank S in MMZ1

Oh, Zero 1. The worst level design I've ever seen. The worst part is when you discover there ARE cyber elves you will lost if you forget about them. And it's a pain in the ass to get S rank in that game. Then again, the only thing that S rank does there is to let you on Ciel's room. So yeah.

The best way for you to play it is with the Save assist. use it to Mark the start of a level you want to play well, and disable it so you won't rewrite it. More than that: This game is punishing as hell. Good luck.

You can't replay levels in the first game. A and S rank only get you bosses with one extra move to make the fight slightly harder along with access to ciel's room for a cyber elf/achievement. Cyber elfs are missable but not really needed. Oh and 1 achievement requires an A or S rank to make a boss use a special move.
