I never understood that one either. I just always guessed.

Can you even guess it even? It's a lot of doors, I guess i'll try one by one, it's not like I care about ranking anyways, even when I try I can't get it to A outside of those cheaty Elf insta-A one, kinda of not a good design to hide skills with ranks tbh.

You're not supposed to guess. The computer in the previous room tells you what doors you need to enter.

You're meant to pay attention to the doors around the door it shows you, not just the door it shows you, and use the other doors to pick the correct one.

To my understanding, it will never be a door on the top row, the bottom row, or the far left or right columns. It's probably best to take notes so you don't have to run back and forth between the doors and the terminal that tells you where to go, I don't know if there's enough time to do that and still get 20 points in Time anyway.

Also try to go into the room with Weil's data last, as it has the least obtrusive terrain for Biblio, and grind like ten enemy kills to get all 15 points for kills.

I personally always guess it, after 3 playthroughs it became tiring to keep going back to the terminal. There are only 8 doors where data can be located, and you can immediately tell if it has data right after entering by the room's color: yellow means wrong, pink means right. I don't really care about max score because I always go for this stage last.

I know that, but I don't know what I'm looking for, I see no pattern at all on it.

I really don't know how to figure out the pattern honestly, what I'm supposed to look for? They all have colors, and each option is a different thing, what I'm triangulating here? I super don't understand this at all.

When the game is showing you the door, you can see nine doors.

Use the colors of all nine doors to work out which room it's showing you.

Also, while it looks like there are 24 doors to pick from, there are actually only 8. The data rooms will never be in any of the outermost doors, which immediately knocks out 16 of them. Likewise if the game is showing you a red door or a green door, there's only one each that it could be because there's only one each in the "legal" spaces.

Say the door shown for Dark Elf is a blue door with yellow doors lining the left and top side. That means the Dark Elf disk is in the blue door with yellow doors lining the left and top side when it is in the center. This sounds kinda condescending, but it seems like you're overthinking things here and it really is this simple. Just memorize the colours or the shape of certain colours around the doors you're supposed to be going for.

I had a notebook and wrote the 3 door colors down as Y R B for each door, since going back takes way too long. You lose 2 mission score each wrong door I believe?

What do you mean use all the colors? I saw it in one walkthrough gamefaqs and on one short thread but I don't get it at all, I understand it's not all the doors, but I can't understand what it shows me and how i'm supposed to find the one right door, it never told me what color I'm looking for, and If it did I might've forgotten cause it was a day ago, so I gotta replay and see if the dialogue when I enter the room specified it.

It's not like it points ''this is the right door'' when you pick one of the options, it shows a bunch of doors with different colors and I have no clue how to pick the right one, it's not condescending i'm just pretty baffled by this thing, this is prolly the worst puzzle I ever found in a game, and people complain about that simple tetris puzzle in RE3.

The door dead center of the screen when it shows them.

What? But every thing you pick there's a door in the center of the screen? Or is it like, every category shows a different door...wait I think I got it, this is stupid

Alright, I did it, ok, tutorial for idiots :

The right door is the one in the middle, you use the color patterns to find the middle one, so say you go on Dr.Weil and it shows the middle door, you use the colors to guide yourself to the middle one, which is the right one.

Just take a picture on each of the options there so you don't have to keep going back like a moron and guide yourself to the right doors.

Kinda kills the pacing of the stage honestly but hey once you do it it's done.

Thanks you're the one that gave me the epiphany. Also why are you everywhere? But thank you.
