Darkspore

Petition to make this game available offline
We should all start this petition to make this game available offline and to be able to make our own servers to play with others. Anyone else on this?

Here is the petition link to sign:

I do agree with ya on this,

Yes, me too.

I was thinking about this while playing today, I do enjoy this game a lot and will be a shame to lose it once the servers go down.

I feel like I'm playing on borrowed time.

But... How do we start?
Who do we contact?

The servers are still up?

Yes they are...

I usually find between 10 or 20 people in the lobby.

After a couple years of having this game, I wasn't able to play it because of some server error that kept popping up(tried so many ways to fix it, didn't help), I'd gladly sign a petition for an offline mode.

havne't played in a while, decided to today, went to check in the store section to see if it had controller compatibility, and it was gone. came here, sure enough, beause it's being shut down. I'm really disappointed in this announcement. It should certainly have an offline mode, or at least, the ability to host a small co-op version. Disappointed that the game I purchased can't be used.

If GOG could make a deal with EA to bring Darkspore to their store, that would probably be the best option.

I played the game a few years ago when it came out, but I didn't buy it on steam. An offline mode sounds fun to me though!

adding to my earlier post - I can't even play it now, the patch fails every time. can't express how disappointed I am. This should have been designed with an offline mode from the start. With so few players active now, I can understand why it wouldn't be worth it to make on now. EA lets us down, again.

Try running Darkspore.exe from the folder, and not from Origin (though Origin has to be open in the background). The update should install and validate.

I have a disk, and It doesn't seem to be downloading properly on my computer either.

i'm not running it via origin, straight from steam - was in beta picked it up day 1. maybe if i put the key into origin it might go, but honestly, I don't even want to open origin again.
