Darkspore is back! (Almost)

OK so, any of you guys remember darkapore? So, these guys have been working on local/offline servers and they are making remarkable progress. They have gotten past the login screen and can now navigate the menu, and with some tweaking unlock and edit heroes. I even tried it out myself and it is remarkably easy to install and it is so cool! Here is the github link: https://github.com/vitor251093/darkspore-ls . They do also have a discord which is listed on the site. Also I am aware that most of you already heard from DarkEdgeTV.

Do they think they can actually get to the point of making it playable? I didn't think we had enough offline clientside code to make it work..Hope we can someday, this was a cool game

Yes, we are very confident. However much is code is having to be created in order for it to work, and as such wont be exactly the same as it used to e.g loot drop chances, enimy spawns ect. will have to be recoded. But in short, yes, it will work eventuallty

Game has been closed down for too long. They have no claim to it. unless they are planning on bringing it back to life.

Yes, there is the github page linked in the original post, and on the github page you will find a link to the discord server

Didn't expect to hear much checking in on this crater of a community hub, much less talk of potentially reviving it; will keep an eye on this thread for progress.

very nice. I bought this game way back. Only have a chance to play about 30 minutes........when I came back a few years ago.....it was shut down.........><
