"You are granting this Developer access to your Twitch user ID."
Twice now I've seen completely random Twitch channels streaming completely different games throw this pop-up[i.imgur.com] at me. Asked the streamers and they said they had no idea it was even there.

What exactly is this? Why would anyone agree with this? I've never seen anything like it for any other game. EXTREMELY fishy stuff.

It says: "Allow this extension to know your user ID on Twitch"

Our Twitch extension can see your username (Twitch user ID), so if you draw a picture we can display it with a credit showing the person who drew it.

I'm glad you came to clarify but please have more faith in developers, our business is selling entertainment.

I don't know what twitch does for Ring of Pain but in the Vermintide II community people use random twitch IDs in order to enable the twitch feature in game because you can use a lot of modifiers. You don't have to link it to your Steam, just add a random twitch ID and you're good to go.

It's because RoP has a built-in twitch-plays feature.
Quick to assume...
