But seriously, you need to drive into any hangar and talk to the mechanic, who normally offers you to buy parts. He'll fix exterior damage for 150 (if I recall correctly).

kampf you need to have you hand selected and he will offer you to fix fires for 150, if you want to do repairs buy the needed items then intall them yourself one at a time with the wrench. hope this helps

No, smoke/fire is unrelated to wear. It's caused by bullet damage from player and NPCs alike.
