Game unplayable because GFWL was discontinued. This is a SCAM
So, many, including me, got this game in todays sale for some cheap bucks.
I just got to know that GFWL has been completely shut down and the only way to play it would have been creating a local profile before July.

Are you kidding me? VALVe, you sold us a game which we can't play without illegal tools (cracks). I consider this being a scam.

So, VALVe, please fix the issue, either by forcing EA to push an update, or by refunding the game to us who can't play.

I agree. Just got the game, and it wont let me play because of that GFWL login fails.
Steam scammed us into buying it, and for what?
I will demand a refund.

oh ffs can you people read threads below??? GFWL was not shutdown the marketplace on it was if your encountering an error please tell us what your problem is and we try to help.

The reality is that you need to be using a computer that had a login to GFWL previous to its shutdown. I found this out today. Anyone who has never used GFWL or anyone who had to install it will not be able to log in using a prior account to the shutdown.

The problem isn't people not reading the threads below, The problem in its entirety is GFWL, the threads below are the prooof of it.

Work arounds or not, Its a piece of crap, Only made worse by MS incoperating it into the Xbox universe.

I bought the game today, spent half an hour getting through all the poorly configured and redundant GFWL crap just to get her started and Im seriously disapointed I made the purchase due to this alone.

Any software that rins the customer experience is crap software.

Then you might have 2 step autentication setup on your previous accout, that it was is stopping you from logging in, goto Xbox Live, use your GFWL details there and turn this option off, then try it

**I just got to know that GFWL has been completely shut down** < Completely and totally incorrect. The ONLY part of GFWL that has shut down is the Market Place, which means you can no longer buy DLC or games from it. GFWL is working and working correct and has for me for over 730 hours in this game.

And whose fault is it that this mis-information is making the rounds, When you click on recover password it directs you to a dead url, And all the associated network is also a dead end. It was purely dumb luck that I discovered I could log in through the xbox live website.

How is it that billion dollar companies get so much simple ♥♥♥♥ so wrong?

I can't even start the game properly because it crashes instantly no matter how often I reinstall that GFWL thing.

You need to create an account via Xbox Live to login to GFWL

Yeah Microsoft could of done something when the marketplace switch off and switch over to Xbox Live happened, but tbh they saw a dead product and left it at that, they should of killed it there and then
