Even DbD when its player count dipped due to people leaving were smart enough to think 'Hmm, maybe we should add console + Steam + Pc Games Pass crossplay' And guess what?? it WORKED.
This game is a perfect definition of what happens when a company refuses to acknowledge their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, lay the blame at the players ('toxicity' and 'harassment' on twitter/reddit lmfao), and add P2W mechanics in the form of 'Boosters' and making 99.99% of skins (which shouldn't affect what your character looks like.. even Destiny 1/2 had a system where your GEAR determined how your character looked outside the standard CaC system..)
anyone who still 'simps/stans' this game after all the backlash and bs by CD and SE is quite frankly delusional that we will EVER see the game that this was hyped to be..
Should have just been left as the '2012 avengers' movie based game that this was ORIGINALLY going to be.
As it stands, this game is the newest equivalent of No Mans Sky, but with even more pigheaded publisher and a development team who only keeps the servers up to milk the 'whale' population of people who buy any and every skin because 'they need it'
Best thing that can happen is this game goes F2P or flat out goes the way of the dinosaur.
It's pretty insane but yeah they really are this tone deaf and have been since day one. They hired Brian Waggoner to help but he was totally tone deaf when he was at Gazillion and helped drive that game into the ground. I've never seen a developer less receptive to what the player-base wants and it's honestly not that hard to figure out how to fix the game. It's just no one at CD seems to want to do anything the players want and in fact make a concerted effort to do the opposite.
