the rollback might not work with GPUs released in 2024 (it works on my 4070ti from 2023). Before that, I fiddled around with a Vulkan DX12 wrapper, but I couldn't get the game to launch. I would advise to report the issue to the Nvidia support - I already did. if enough people bring this issue on the table they might fix it in an upcoming driver.
Yeah I find it to be so annoying that the older drivers are compatible with all the RTX 40-Series cards apart from the 4080 Super and 4090Ti.
Could you give me a link to the correct Nvidia support so I can pass this along to them as well? They seem to have a few different supports and I want to ensure I contact the correct department.
I guess you could either do what I did and send your feedback via GeForce Experience (in the bottom right corner) or post in the forum:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/
But you're right, the support departments are pretty confusing...
In the end I do not know if there is "one" right way to report an issue.
