corrupted save file

My pc crashed and now very time i click start it says my save file is corrupted and must delete and start a new save. how can i fix. please help.

Go to documents\marvels avengers. In the numbered folder there will be several backup saves. Try replacing the main save with one of those.

ok so what i did and it worked for me is, in the avengers save file folder i could see all my saves were there but game didint seem to be reading it because when i would boot up the game it would just be as if it was new. so in that file folder my save1_1.data_ its the 2nd file right after profile1.data. that file all i did was delete the _ after data so it should be save1_1.data and thats it. after just deleting the _ after data i rebooted the game and all my progress was back. hope this helps you guys

I have the same problem but my save file is named : save1_1.dat with no "_" after dat. I have other files named savebk_1.dat, savebk_2.dat, etc.. I tried to replace the save1_1.dat by savebk_1.dat but it still says profile corrupted

Also gotten a crash with a corrupt savegame afterwards. I deleted my profile.dat and it worked again.
Other method with replacing the save1_1.dat didn't work for me

I had this same issue earlier, and you might be in luck, because a "save file" corruption is different from a "profile" corruption. If your profile is corrupted first back up all files in your save location, then just delete the "profile" file and start the game. It will look like the game is launching for the first time, asking you to set brightness and you'll probably need to reset your graphics settings, but your save files should still be intact so you won't lose any actual progress. At least, that worked for me.
