Memory leak.
I think this game has a memory leak because everytime no matter what I do or change in the settings, the game runs totally fine until about 20min of play time and my RAM goes from game start-up 8.2-8.4 GB RAM to a stuttery situation with 10.4 GB RAM and higher until it crashes...

Edit: my idle RAM is only 3.1GB without running the game btw...

Specs:
Win 10
SSD
GTX 1660 TI
Amd Ryzen 5 1600
16GB RAM

yup same issue here. Game works fine (or well as fine as it can) for about one mission and then frame drops start to hit every few seconds, dropping to 5-10 frames forcing a restart after every 20-30mins.

Specs:
i7 7700k
RTX 2070
16GB RAM
SSD

That could explain my crashes..

Edit: Actually no. memory usage was fine for me, I kept an eye on my memory usage, but still crashes.

I have reason to believe there is a minor memory leak related to dying during single-player campaign missions. Aside from that, I haven't experienced any of the symptoms you've posted here.

Win 10
Ryzen 3700X
RTX 2080 Super
32GB RAM
Samsung NVME M.2 SSD

Aside from the few areas in the game you can tell are loading zones, where it's loading the next part of the map during a story sequence for instance, it has been buttery smooth performance for hours. All settings maxed except: AMD Fidelity, DSR and Motion Blur disabled, VSync off, Fullscreen, (Non-Exclusive), 1080p

Hope this helps!

Hi Silma,

What texture quality level do you have set? When using Very High texture quality the game does expect a lot of memory to be able to store those.

If you could share your game log file from your Documents folder there may also be more information in there that may help.

at high and I do not think that my pc cannot run this game at high ........ however I have lowered everything to medium and not freezes, but it is a problem all the same ... are so many!!!

https://gofile.io/d/Ds5Ddf (i have never had a problem with your games. no tomb raider did this)

Hello, I've tried every graphics setting and my stutters keep coming back after a little while of play, but I have not installed the extra dlc textures pack so it can't be that.

Also how do I send you my log cause my log has too much text for Steam ?

Similar issues with CTD. Possibly a memory leak had the following log message "[Crash] Unhandled exception at address 0x00000000b5cc4e87 (code: 0xc0000005): "Access violation"" where it seems to be trying to access invalid memory.

After downgrading my Nvidia graphics card driver to version 445.87 my RAM seems normal now and the stutters are seemingly decreased to almost none. (I tested multiple times for about 3 hours now.)

I have same setup as a dude posted..

Getting 100%
memory usage for some unknown reason...
Comes after 2 hours or more of playing....skipping,shuttering in cut sense, even lock's up loading.
Had alot of it during final fight was just a shuttery mess.even the end credits where laggy and beeing shuttery...

GPU is fine everythink else

Win 10
Ryzen 3700X
RTX 2080 Super
32GB RAM
Samsung NVME M.2 SSD

Never mind it just takes a bit longer before the stutters start happening now it's around 45min to an hour of continues play before the game starts stuttering again :(
Same issue. Best news is restarting the game fixes it 100 percent... just a pain in the ass to have to keep restarting.

Hi, person with your identical setup here.

Have you noticed that it tends to occur or worsen after anything specific?

For example, I notice that if I'm playing the same stage over and over, dying and restarting, that after the 3rd or 4th attempt performance degrades significantly and often times requires a restart of the game to fix. However, if I don't die, or only occasionally die, then I can play hours with steady frames.

Wondering if the same is true for you?

Hey, I'm not the Original poster, but I'm getting this at the bottom of my most recent log file, and I really need some guidance here.

It feels like the game has a memory leak that just eventually catches up with my system, and it happens faster / more often in larger maps where I can explore. On start up the game says I have plenty of RAM to run the game, on crash I have nothing left.

I'm using low and no settings on everything, if you send me a place to send my log file, I can send in the entire thing.
