Play Spider-Man on PS4?

I have no idea how the game works never played it but I would like a complete experience so I am planning to play the game extensively on PC and then play it on Playstation (want to buy a month of PS Plus Extra) just to experience Spider-Man's content. Would you say it's a waste of time and I should just play on PS4 or my plan might work?

Honestly if your gonna commit to playing either version, i would say just play the PS4 version. It already has Spider-Man on it which you want & there is no cross-progression for your save from any platform to another.

If you're wanting multiplayer as well....it's also safe to say that the PS4 version is gonna have a way better player-base than here on Steam, since there's no cross-play either. Your stuck with only the Steam player-base of currently 434 players (not all are playing online), so you'll be forced to look for other player's through the groups or forums here on Steam.

Thanks but honestly I prefer PC and also have no interest in multiplayer so could you please elaborate a bit whats the gameplay gonna be like if I try to 100% just the single player content on Steam and then switch to PS4? Will I have to add the same grind unnecessarily just to level up Spider-Man to get him to 100% kinda? Sorry it's hard for me to explain I just want to know if I can play on PS4 as a sort of expansion to the game without repeating the things I did on PC like leveling up other heroes too.

No, there's no cross-progression from PC to PS4 or vice versa. Anything you do, unlock or even purchase on PC will NOT carry over to PS4. Since it's a live service game model with a MTX premium store, you'll never really 100% this game either.

There's even been a bug since launch that will only ever show your Campaign mode completion at 92% no matter what. Achievements are also now bugged for quite sometime and extremely to nearly impossible for a couple to get.

PS is the ideal version if your primary interests are 1) to play Spiderman (which, I've seen a number of quick matches have people always picking him first so it is what it is) and 2) the playerbase may be a bit higher in number. One of the caveats I've seen are people having more of the same kinds of crashes whereas YMMV on PC.

I have it on both and the primary reason for PC was so I could play with friends and the fact that it was pretty cheap during the last sale. It just depends on what you want to do with it.

Not really outside of what's auto-selected, you can stick to primarily using Spiderman. He was the first and only character I have that's PL150 and it still holds when playing solo for the most part.
