Black Panther campaign intro mission hardest part of the entire campaign
Okay, so I admit I may be a little late at playing through Black Panther's War For Wakanda campaign, but I play a lot of other games which need my time too. The 1 Year Anniversary event reward motivated me to finally complete it.

I enjoyed myself for the most part. Looking back, I have to say that the difficulty spike was all over the place despite starting on Normal since my Black Panther was only Power 50 (He ended up Level 37, Power 68 by the end of the story).

The intro mission where you first encounter the Klaue mercenaries and solo fight your way through cyber spiders, and eventually solve a puzzle to gain access and have your first encounter with Crossbones, is incredibly hard.

I recall reading a post (which I can no longer find) where someone commented that it gets set to Hardcore for some reason. It certainly felt this way for me. I made it through, but every enemy was able to one shot me. I couldn't just dive into a fight or I would die instantly. I had to single out and pick off the mercenaries at range by waiting for them to come to me. (Which is already off since the dialogue exchange suggests that the Black Panther is a menace to them, and it was the exact opposite). I handled the spiders by making them chase me to high ground (and was amused that they didn't seem scripted to function properly since they just went idle, unable to move as I finished them off). The laser traps were a pain (again everything one shots me) so I just ran through and avoided their beams. The Crossbones boss fight involved a lot of patience and circling around the sonic cannon, leading him to the opposite side so I could attack the panel and even standing on top to avoid being hit by his beam.

This seems really odd to be so difficult for just starting out. Once I had made it through the mission, when I loaded anything else from the War Table it played nothing like this. This even carried over to the final mission (aside from the unnecessary platforming sections near the end).

Sounds like you got affected by a difficulty setting bug, my experience was normal when I began the first mission as Power Level 0 BP. No single enemy in my playthrough oneshot me even once, I only went down if I jumped into a group and messed up the block/parry.
