Oh, but since it utilizes those 10+ gigabytes of VRAM at maximum settings at 1440p, it sure needs all of that memory as it is using it.
Playing it at 4k at maximum settings is probably going to take the VRAM utilization over 12GB. If it reaches the 16GB I have in my GPU, I expect it to crash with the device hung error message popping up.
So far the game has not crashed for me a single time since I upgraded the GPU.
OR!!!!!
Buy an Xbox S/X 😉
I’m just messing w ya but I got mine today (from Japan) and yea it’s hella expensive and you’re forced to buy the game .. again. Which I knew and accept.
Personally I know upgrading a rig in the long run is more cost effective but like I said in another post. I’m done tweaking. Mainly bc I just don’t completely understand it anymore. (Complicated for me personally is all bc of all the specs and compatibility etc)
So apparently what I’ve learned is that I’m enjoying the game enough to justify paying for it again and the new console (obviously) .
Start the grind again but luckily I am really hooked on the brawling aspects. I guess if they get it together at Corp or not will be a bonus.
Not asking what you paid to get your PC to handle it. I had to pay more than retail for the Xbox X/S but nothing crazy!
Wonder what multiplayer will be like.. luckily it’s mostly solo!
Lol wait is that some sort of oxymoron? (Go ahead, someone will say I’m a moron)
Nah, tweaking the PC is indeed getting more complicated these days. I had to finally flash a BIOS for the first time in my life when I did my upgrades and the first version I used wasn't even stable, so I had to go down to the second newest version. Then it was quite a mess setting things up in the BIOS again so that my Windows would even boot.
Now I'm encountering some typical AMD GPU issues and having to troubleshoot those as well, but this is all part & parcel of going for a full AMD build. I might have to even adjust some voltages if the latest BIOS tweaks I did don't solve an issue I'm having.
Yeaaa...
No thanks
Gotta say, it looks freaking stellar so far
Yes, PC version is just a port from the consoles. For the PC, you need to spend a lot more money to get an equivalent level of hardware as the consoles have, and if you want even better like I did, you just have to be prepared to sink like two thousand or more on it. Right now I have twice as much RAM as the current consoles, stronger CPU and GPU, and way faster drives with a far more versatile OS. PC also features an environment far better suited for simulator type games, as you get access to a large selection of peripherals and can potentially do something like this:

But for arcade Marvel games, consoles will always be the best platform.
First of all, wow! That is cool!
I had a feeling you were around $2k for that upgrade but again idk enough about it.
So yea, $800 for Xbox X/S
I’ve never really been a console person. Owned about all but always did mmorpg. I tried the game laptop and it was outdated before I even got home. Desktop can’t really be beat as far as overall versatility.
The cost of the upgrades has actually been about 1760€, but I didn't get the older parts for free either when I built this PC in 2019. So the final cost of my PC goes way above 2000€. I didn't pay it all at once, the components were bought one or two at a time. Buying an x570 motherboard was a good choice as it has given me so much room for upgrades over the years. Spreading the costs over three years means I've not needed to spend even 1000€ per year on this PC though.
