Jeebus this game is confusing

I finished the first campaign, the one where you reassemble the Avengers and a cutscene with Fury thanking us for dealing with the Cosmic Cube showed up. What cosmic cube? The, I started the second campaign and I got a series of tutorial cutscenes about game modes and shops and other things. Now? After an entire campaign, the tutorial? Also, there was Lady Thor on the Quinjet, but then she disappeared.
Also, how the F do I see if I already completed a mission on the map?
Jeebus, call me stupid, but I understand 5% of the things this frigging game throws at me at any time.

From what I heard, those Fury explanations were made after the studio changed and are from the later parts added after the other campaigns.

Where they set you is in the "Play Now" stuff, which is the LAST bit of campaign with all the free play stuff.

You got to return to menu and start the 2nd campaign now, the "Taking Aim" one. With Magik I mean Kate Bishop as teleporting slasher I mean Hawkeye.

I've been confused too. All you need to do for now, as a noob, is :
1 - First play the four campains, by selecting one on the starter screen preferably.
2 - Try to follow the given order of these campains, or some parts of the story could be spoiled to you.
3 - Note that campain1 (Reassemblement) has a tiny bug and will finish at 92% only. Just skip this error and keep on playing the following campain.
4 - Once you've finished the three first easy campains, you'll probably get stuck at final step or mission of the "War for Wakanda" campain. Just keep on levelling your characters by selecting the "Avengers Initiatives". Multiplayer there is the key for that.
5 - You will need to select the appropriate campain again at starter screen if you want to go back to the story missions that were left incompleted, or those missions buttons will not show up on the Quinjet maps.
6 - Note that you also havethe same missions in "Avengers Initiatives". Try to figure out the different types of these missions. Some missions are character dedicated, even if you can play whichever toon you want for that.
7 - I won't tell and spoil everything. This game is quite easy, but still, there will be traps for the bad players! Have fun with this awesome action game.
8 - Please, DO NOT neglect the "automatic equipment" button, but always keep a close eye on it, because this "service" is not always accurate... Just another trap for the bad players...
9 - Items level of power is primary, very important, allowing you to access higher missions, but your characters' experience also counts for the points you get for their skills. Spend them the way you want, coz you'll get all the remaining (and missing) points at level 50.
10 - Play the way you want, but it's highly recommanded to level up at least an entire team of characters. You have 4 campains, and your team has 4 slots... But most of all, just have fun!!

You got booted to Avengers Initiative, the Live Service part of the game. The devs decided that it should always exist in its "latest" form hence you see Nick Fury, Jane Foster, Wakanda, Future Wastelands, etc. never mind coherent storytelling. One time mission chains and other side objectives are listed in the menu. Most of the other missions you see on the map are repeatable in this mode.

To access the actual 2nd campaign you need to back to the main menu>operations>taking aim like the other poster said.

Thank you to anyone helping. I've never seen a most confusing menu for missions in a game ever
