He was not DLC in the PS4 version of the game. That is where your misunderstanding comes from.

Spider-Man was added as an exclusive free update to the PS4 version of the game, not as DLC.

DLC is something that is downloaded/bought separately and optionally by the player. Game updates are not DLC.

If the definitive version of the game is advertised as having all the DLC, they mean the actual DLC of the game. The two Hawkeyes, Black Panther, Mighty Thor, Winter Soldier and Spider-Man were never DLC.

spider-man was in fact dlc, since you wounldnt get spider-man unless you downloaded content that was only made available after release, therefor making spider-man downloaded content by definition.

Not all downloaded content is DLC, because the term is a short for Downloadable Content. Not downloaded content.

"Downloadable" already says that this is optional in the very word itself.

This game got a lot of new content after launch in the form of free updates, not as DLC. On Playstation, Spider-Man was such free exclusive update, never a DLC. Playstation players never had the option to not download the update which added Spider-Man to the game.

Surely you don't call every single patch and update that a game receives after launch, DLC?

Well since I only payed 10$ and dont care about Multiplayer, I will in fact enjoy it.

Now do I think its worth more then that, no not really. Should have been a Single Player Story Driven Game from the start. When I heard it was going to be the dreaded Live Service I stayed clear of it. But for 10$, and includes all the Micro Transactions, heck yeah.

Multiplayer is still going to be available with any owner of the game though, if you ever want to play the game with a friend who has it.

You still didnt get all Dlc stuff...Spider Manu was Dlc for Ps4 and Ps5 only, just like Black Panther who got inspiration from Batman and Catwoman. Idk i gonna pick game up for 5.99€,cuz this game gonna cost alot in future. Never ever gonna buy Sony games on Steam.

Unfortunately it seems Sony paid for permanent PS exclusivity deal for Spider-Man so there was never such thing as "supposed to come first on PS." He was to be available only on the Playstation platform. They only ever advertised him as a PS exclusive, not as a timed exclusive.

We all wanted Spider-Man for the other versions too, that's not why nobalkain was calling Queen HawlSera a child. He did so because she was refusing to accept that Spider-Man was never DLC for any version of the game, none of the playable characters were DLC. Therefore a "Definitive Edition" advertised as having all the DLC does not need to have Spider-Man. What it has, is all of the actual DLC for the game which were just cosmetic item packs.

I have the PS4 version of this game (and only bought the PC version because it is more convenient for me to play and was like $6) and I have yet to feel a strong need to use Spider-Man in it. To be blunt, I see no point in doing so when I have Marvel's Spider-Man where I can get a MUCH better experience overall.
