The changes we are making to how the game functions will ensure as long a life as possible. However, after September 30, 2023 we can’t guarantee that we will be able to address issues that occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

I mean I paid full price for me and my friend when it launched and I mean collectively we probably have 400 hours but thats cause we've played on and off since launch. I havent played in a long time and i certainly havent purchased anything in the store for a long time so i got my moneys worth a long time ago imo but it's scummy how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ put up a $75 MCU skin pack for people like a week ago and then did this.

Regardless whether an online service game shuts down or becomes no longer sold on Steam at some future date, it will always remain in your Steam Library.
This applies to any game. I own many games which are no longer available on Steam and also many games which have had their services shut down. They're all still in my Library.
That may apply to some other games but in this situation it doesn't apply to this one.
I own hundreds of delisted games.
