There we can search by month and I went through the past 5 months. Ms. Marvel's popularity sits at around 160 in monthly sales and moves roughly 13 thousand units. Compared to the top slots like X-Men which sell above 100 thousand or even 200 thousand her sales are abysmal. For comparison I found mention of a number of cancelled comics due to poor sales from early 2018. Iceman was selling around 10 thousand, Luke Cage 8.5 thousand, and Gwenpool 13 thousand. I can only assume that having Ms. Marvel added to this game is an attempt to increase her popularity and increase single issue sales and should that fail her current sales figures put her very near the cut off point for cancellation.

When it is political and one has to follow the narrative, it won't get cancelled so easily. And, considering how they are going over and over the "diversity" like that, chances are, especially with "islam" being the center piece here, that they won't cancel it. Unless it dips even lower.

But, what I hate the most is when they start playing fast and loose with words to pad the bad numbers, like hiding comparison numbers, positions, timeframes and even embezzling the numbers. For instance, "half a million" sounds prettier and higher than 500,000 sales, even if they mean EXACTLY the same thing. Another example of number padding to distract and make it seem lower than it really is, is when they use/add X.99 at the end of a price. $2.99, is nearly the same as $3, with one single cent in difference... But, it fools enough people, and makes your brain feel better than you are getting a better deal.

You're not wrong. Additionally Marvel has a habit of forcing larger numbers onto comic stores to inflate their sales numbers. Its why a lot of comic stores intentionally underwrite how many they need or die from inflation of overstock no one wants.

Just confirming what's been said above. About those sales numbers...Marvel will count copies sent to comic book stores as actual sales, and does not represent the actual number of sales by the comic stores. Basically, don't believe the hype.

She's nowehere in the movie, her comics are barely selling and she's not an interesting character.....She's only here because Marvel wants to pander to a certain section of society

I think it's because her creator was put in charge of Marvel comic's. That the same reason she is going to be first to get her own TV show. So most likely in their she forced in as part of contract where she is made a main character or NO game. I mean honestly why wouldn't they put in Hawk Eye before put her in.

There will be few such persons to be sure. Most have a few characters they favour over others and would like to see those added eventually if they aren't part of the initial line-up.

None of the characters presented here aren't of great interest to me, at least in the manner in which they are presented. I would prefer a much more classic interpretation of them. Then again, my first comic book had a cover price of 12 cents and much of what could be said about comics then has fallen by the wayside over the years.

Ultimately, what I'd really like to do is customize my own character and play that in the Marvel Universe, but I doubt that game will be coming out any time soon, so this one may have to do, depending on the requirements to run it. From the videos, I may have to give it a pass.

Ms. Marvel is boring. You are being disingenuous is you pretend than there aren't dozens of more popular Marvel Heroes who fans would rather see in a game like this.

Also the Bleeding cool article about the "500k" trade paper sales is misleading, the bulk of those were sold to public libraries, not readers. The decision to buy the books was an entirely demographic one, not based on actual demand.

The game looks... average. Nothing about it makes me want to buy it at any point higher than a 75% sale... and maybe not even then.

Tbh I dont mind the character as long as shes fun to play, i use her a ton in Ultimate alliance 3 and i never heard of the character before.
