I wish i could tell you that you are wrong but you probably right. Let's jump on avengers hype train with another live service instead of making complete games. Especially in more unique setting which can gain interest thanks to cyberpunk 2077 - probably one of the most anticipated game of 2020.

Mankind divided should have gotten a sequel and we should have gotten a Full Blown remake of Deux Ex this year celebrating 20 years, but no instead we get more Tomb Raider and Eidos montreal becoming a marvel factory, Thanks again Square Enix.

This game also has some of the worst design choice I've ever seen. Hulk is ugly, Black widow is ugly.

it's not like they nailed it with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided back in 2016. That game was pretty disappointing both critically and commercially for Square Enix to warrant another sequel but that doesn't mean they're never going to touch Deus Ex. They're probably going to use that IP sooner or later. Maybe a soft reboot?

Also this game is largely being developed by Crystal Dynamics (makers of new Tomb Raider trilogy) and they had nothing to do with Deus Ex. As far as I know some other studio actually worked on Mankind Divided (probably Eidos Montreal).

Mankind Divided was cut short story wise, Square forced them to release it sooner than it was ready. Which is why it just suddenly ends too soon. So yes, Deus Ex died for this superhero trash.

More likely because it was made for the new age generation and it was the old generation players that wants to play it.. This game is pure simplistic new age generation.. it will sell well
