How To Boost Gear Item for PC

Hi all,

I'm a returning player wanting to know how to increase gear item for PC. When i first started playing the game say for e.g. an item was lvl 100 i was able to upgrade it using resources 10 times using resources. Now that i have come back to the game i find for e.g. i get an item lvl 100 and this time i can't use resource to upgrade it 10 times instead it requires similar drops to upgrade it, is this true ? have the whole mechanics changed ?

When i equip the armor piece i don't see the pool bar of 0/10. I only see the pool bar when i put it in my inventory. Strange. If someone can give me a detail explanation on how to boost the item by x10 times for PC it would really help me.

They changed that around a while ago. You can only infuse higher power level items into lower power level items and there's restrictions in rarity as well. It's like Destiny, only more restrictive.

So to bring a 120 PL item to 130 PL you'd need a 130 PL item for infusion. Only works with purple and above as far as I can tell though.

The boosts you are seeing whilst the item is in your inventory are informing you how many PL's before stats increase on the item from upgrading it.

I also can't figure out how to upgrade items. I have a hero with two items that are epic level or higher. The currently equipped item is one PL lower than the item in inventory, and I have over 4,000 upgrade modules. How do I upgrade?

You equip the item you want to upgrade. You need a higher power item (of the same type) in your inventory. You hover over the equipped item and pres E. Then a list with available items with higher power appears. You pick the item you want to sacrifice and (iirc) hold E over it. The sacrificed item is ...well sacrificed, and the equipped item is improved.

Is there a minimum PL for upgrading? Like I said before, I have two or more purple (epic) items, one equipped and one in inventory that is one PL higher, but I'm not getting the option to upgrade.

Yes, the minimum PL for upgrading is 100, I think.

It should be noted that for Gear you can consume any rarity (Rare, Epic, Legendary, Exotic) to increase its Power Level. However, if you want to upgrade a Minor Artifact that is Epic, you can't consume a Rare.
