Always says disabled. Even if it is enabled in the menu. Just going to assume it broke in an update.

Nah, people, i think some missions don't have matchmaking but only friendly invite but u are kinda lucky cus of the new update if u press invite! Random people will show up for u to invite but not everyone joins ... a matchmaking option would be faster or or u can do is find a mission that has matchmaking on and host one, so once people join! You can cancel ur mission and choose the ones that don't have matchmaking (the ones u are trying to play)

People used to just automatically be able to join while you were in the waiting area. Quick Match works though.

its in any missions, just disabled at all times... only in quck match it seems to work

This is in the patch notes. They changed matchmaking

Matchmaking is now only enabled for the following mission types outside of Quickmatch: Vault, Elite Vault, Villain Sector, Elite Villain Sector, Omega-Level Threat, Raid, Mega Hive, HARM Challenge, Priority HARM Challenge, as well as Event Missions: Corrupted Vibranium Threat Sector, Cosmic Threat Sector, Tachyon Rift, Flashback Threat Sector, and Priority Threat Sector.
Mission types with matchmaking disabled can be played solo or by inviting other players to your session.

Matchmaking is a sensitive topic. It has never really been broken. However, Eidos Montreal (not Crystal Dynamics) did not code the system optimally either. Matchmaking is linked to your steam download region. If you are set to New York, you will find matches often. However, if your region is say Santa Fe, New Mexico, then you will be waiting a while. It took the community a very long time to figure this out. As a result, more people complained about multiplayer, but all they had to do was go in steam settings and change their region to New York.

That said, as people said above, some mission are supposed to be solo. Campaigns being the key missions. There are very few mission in Avenger's Initiative that are not for multiplayer. I can think of only one, "Last Avenger Standing."

None of the mission have been changed, they are all working as they had prior to the update except that they cannot be Quick Matched into now. And Quick Match now only matches with others that are quick matching and a random mission is selected from the war table.

Vault missions are working as vault mission had been running as. In order for someone to join you though match making, they too need to run the same vault mission while you are running the mission and before you launch it.

On almost any mission, people from your friend's (or chat group) may join you directly without the need to use match maker. Using a chat group is the EASIEST way to find teams especially to Omega Threat Sector or Raids.

This is my Chat Group that has close to 1000 members and usually always at least 300 online at any given time. Join if you would like an easier time in completing activities.

I recently did the OLT with a friend through the matchmaker, and the queue to get the two other players was not terribly long at all despite us not switching the download region. A large portion of the remaining players are grinding the OLT and the Raid regularly still.

Glad the game ist dead yet xD play alot on ps5 and plan to on pc aswell, coz pc is the way to go C:
