The rest is just easy to avoid staying far from him.
You could use Iron Man or Thor to stay in the air and avoid all his ground attacks, but then he'll use his anti air attacks. He'll throw projectiles and jumped at you most of the time but his most powerful anti air attack is a jumping AoE which is harder to avoid than his ground AoE.
Melee is probably the hardest position to fight Maestro, but certain characters make it easier. Ms. Marvel's Embiggen allows her to continue attacking him without being interrupted most of the time. Hulk would probably be the next character I'd use for melee combat. Captain America and Black Widow would need to jump out of melee more often to look for health orbs if they take too many hits.
Range is the easiest method to fight Maestro. Remember to try and aim for headshots.
When Maestro raises his arms into the air, be prepared to jump when his fists make contact with the ground. I think the attack appears with a dodge indicator but the ground pounds can not be ground dodged. Jumping and Heroics are the only methods to avoid it. All of the heroes have melee air combos so you can keeping attacking in the air.
His Charge attack is fast and probably the hardest to avoid. I still get hit often with his Charge. The other Maestro attack that hits me often is the 2nd attack of his 2-hit combo. The one that involves a frontal Sweeping attack followed by a powerful Backhand that damages everybody on his right side whether behind or in front of him.
His 3 hit combo that ends with a leaping Elbow drop is easier to dodge.
There's no time limit so you don't have to finish fast but there are penalties for dying. Surviving should be the main priority so make it easier by raising your Defense Rating. Damaging the boss should be your secondary objective. Reduce Defense rating later on when you're more familiar with the combat system.
With certain stats, you don't have to dodge everything. Use more Resolve/Resilience to withstand multiple attacks from bosses in general and allow yourself more time to recognize what is possible. Heroes with 0 Might (Melee) or Precision (Range) can actually do decent amounts of damage in those categories as long as other mechanics are used like Crit damage, Status effects, or Headshots.
I play with Natasha. I never dodge or parry, I just sit in Maestro's face smacking him with Powersurge.
I use 2 key perks that proc on Critical Hits, Invulnerability and Cosmic Surge. During the fight Natasha is always invulnerable and is charging heroics so that they are immediately available when Powersurge ends.
Secondly, group invisibility; Maestro just stands there taking a beating while Vale of Shadows is active and my group is huddled around Natasha.
It still takes me about 30-60 seconds, because I am not spec'ed for incredible damage, I spec for immunity and heroics always available. But I had noticed when I take low level players into villain fights, they do little to no damage to the bosses.
