Marvel’s Avengers V1.8.1 Patch Notes

We have released a new patch for Marvel’s Avengers, v1.8.1.0

The patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you start the game next time. Please restart the Steam client if your game does not update automatically.

14-07-2021 - Updated to build v1.8.1.8 with the following changes

• We’ve added support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution has replaced Fidelity FX CAS which was previously supported by Marvel’s Avengers. If you had been using CAS before we recommend using FSR instead.

REASSEMBLE CAMPAIGN & AVENGERS INITIATIVE

• The Vault Onboarding mission now properly updates after completing a SHIELD Cache.
  
• Players no longer automatically swaps to Hulk when choosing To Find Olympia from the Avengers Initiative War Table during Kamala's portion of the level.

ART & ANIMATION

• Captain America’s “Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame” Outfit’s shield now displays correctly in the Reassemble Campaign’s final battle and ending cinematics if equipped.
  
• Captain America’s “Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame” Outfit’s shield is now oriented correctly on his back so the star faces upwards.

USER INTERFACE

• The “Back in the Game” buff no longer appears when switching characters.
  
• Mission tooltips for the Mega Hive now correctly mention that only 4 Heroic Gauntlets need to be completed instead of 8.
  
• A snippet of code no longer appears in the tooltip of the Red Room Uniform.

COMBAT

• Players can no longer use the Void Tech Transponder to shrink Monica in Beating the Odds.

GEAR, CHALLENGES, & REWARDS

• Gamma Resistance will no longer show up in the Buff feed as [REDACTED BUFF] Resistance.

KNOWN ISSUES

• Enemies may not spawn in some floors in Last Avenger Standing.

About that last entry, in the 'known issues', try making it so that enemies do spawn on all floors in Last Avenger Standing, that should do it. You're welcome!

Not a great first impression of this patch even if just cosmetic: The star is still facing downwards on Captain America's Endgame skin btw. I just hope you have actually fixed the Last Avenger Standing bug or you're about to have a few unhappy players!

Please look into Captain America's shield and clipping issues. I have a little footage of his shield clipping into stuff and bringing it back, which results in an entire screen covered in warped textures when you aim his shield. Makes it quite unplayable, you cannot even see anything since the stretched textures take over the entire screen

Thanks for the hard work! I don't know if this is an ongoing issue but my ai squad members tend to pop up in front of me at times. Hope this helps any future patches.

Great Job all in all. Thank you very much for removing all the glitches, bugs and bumps. Crossplay would be outstanding but hard to say if your portfolio is going to support putting this into the game.

last avenger standing still broken for me :/ you guys should also run double exp weekends or something, with the exp nerf it gets really boring grinding out levels on all the characters.

I know people really want a gear 2.0 similar to diablo 3, i think that isn't entirely necessary what could be done is that you guys just add more perks, and stats added to our current gear and more interesting perks as well. It would make you feel more powerful, while making gear more interesting without having to fundamentally rewrite the loot system. I really love this games combat, but as an ARPG player the build choices are severely lacking. I hope the wakanda expansion is getting the time it deserves and needs to give people a reason to give the game a second look or their first, and not just rushed out the door to hit some arbitrary deadline even though the game is lacking content still.

pvp doesnt fix everything, not every game in the world needs pvp.
