Thank god Midnight Suns has mutants too, it could be an incredibly awesome game.
What I saw was a Black Desert Online (mobile) clone with Marvel Aesthetics. It borrows combat from Future Fight, but the game lacks depth. I read somewhere, may have been this thread, of someone saying the voice acting was better? This is a joke, you get voice for the first sentence then you have to read the rest. On top of that the font is small, anyone one with bad eye sight, cannot enjoy the story (which btw is poor and isn't compelling enough to bother reading). I ended up skipping the dialog because it was putting me to sleep.
Then the game zips you to the next NPC with more boring texts until you finally get a mission where your hands cover 50% of the screen obscuring any visuals that you may want to see. But you could just put the device down and let the character auto fight. There is no depth to combat. There is no skill. Press this ability, wait a few seconds and press it again... A monkey can play this game, and that is their target audience. Monkeys that blindly spend money on trash.
Then there is PvP. This is what people are raving about? PvP caters to those that spend. You have to spend 1,000+ USD to get the top rewards and compete. Sure, there are others that are not going to pay to win and you will have a pool of low ranked people to fight, but for what? Surely not for any meaningful rewards.
Overall, the content is boring and it takes no thought or skill to master pressing buttons, which is the skill level of a monkey.
There's a huge audience for autoplay games out there, since people are growing less and less inept at gaming and even at using computers. It's the introduction of touchscreen devices at a young age which causes this.
Future of gaming is looking extremely lethargic, with people under constantly repeating lockdowns retarding themselves with autoplay games and eating depression meds in order to not care.
Hero Catalyst.
Look it up. Will be sold eventually. It's in the game already....
They also just introduced Fragment Extractors....
There is absolutely no way the development effort is going into these if they will not be sold for $$$.
Sorry for not answering. Very limited internet access until the end of the week. I am actually surprised my phone got signal enough to reply.
you got free money to spare? gimme to me i need them. just dont trow it to that trash SquareEnix
You can't Auto most boss fights in MFR, neither can you Auto any hard content, or pvp. Bosses have one shot kill mechanics that you need to avoid. The game is not "Casual" by any means, in fact MA is a lot more casual, my 223 champion Thor can go through most content solo, and barley take damage.
CD gave us champion levels, but even with the crappy gear, they forgot we would also need champion content to go along with it.
Doesn't change anything from what I wrote. Future of gaming is all about mobile autoplay games. The effects of this are seen already on PC where there's constant push to make games easier to play.
You can't actually auto anything in MFR ATM. They have 10X the interest they thought they would have in such a short time, so it's disabled to optimize server performance.
Aaah server performance and instant multiplayer queue... Noice.
That would really be great!
Yeah, all these features and you don't even have to download it but as long as you can do $50 microtransactions it would be great indeed. That's the most important thing apparently, having the option to pay 50-100 dollars every day.
pretty much that . Not Only Matchmaking is Actually- working (queued for Blitzkirg or whatever they call it- in less than 15 seconds)- but it's actually an MMO, which also allows ppl to chat openly and look for party in the thing called chat if needed...... I mean, I am not sure, did MA actually ever implement simple chat in the lobby? That would have made a huge social impact on the game- and it shouldn't be difficult from coding point of view, but nope......
Not that many console co-op games have text chats. This game is also not an MMO and never will be.
In order for the game to have text chat this functionality would have to be coded for the console version first, as that is then ported to PC. Also, we on PC have text & voice chats by third party services already.
Factoring all these in, would it still make any sense to develop text chat for the game just so that the marginal group of PC players gets their in-game text chat?
