I was stuck since yesterday trying to get past "Agony and The Anthill" because my game just would quietly quit to desktop once I was about to destroy the Warbot. I must have replayed this mission twenty times with it always consistently crashing at this point. Now, today I finally got past it and completed the mission.
My suggestion is to check the integrity of the game on steam.I don't think it's a configuration problem. It's more like a computer system where a particular file is dead
I'm not clear if that comment is directed to me or not but I tried it as Ms. Marvel and Black Widow. I used Black Widow in the beta to fight the Warbot at the end of the beta and this boss is exactly the same aside from the setting and design. The issue here isn't struggling trying to defeat it. I literally would get the boss to just a few yellow bars remaining until it would be defeated, and my game would just pull the plug. It wasn't that I couldn't beat it, it was that the game decided to crash right as I was about to. This was endlessly frustrating because once you restart, you're back at the War Table as Tony having to have the conversation with Pym again and having to replay the mission from the beginning to even get to the boss. There isn't a checkpoint which just restarts you at the boss after a crash. I'm not sure if you were to die to the Warbot if it would just fail the entire mission too or just start you back against the boss. (I never actually died to the boss so I wouldn't know)
The point is, just disabling the Steam overlay and switching the Fullscreen mode did enough that I was able to actually complete the mission without it crashing. It had happened so many times when I got the Warbot to two bars left of health and was preparing to grapple on top of it again and attack the stacks as Widow, I was expecting it to crash, but it didn't. So it had to have done something.
Edit: the comment is probably directed for the last mission, which I don't know what it is since I haven't reached that point. But my example should still probably sun up how it is to try to do anything if the game crashes while you're attempting it.
OMG ! It works !!! Thanks a lot man !!! Have been able to complete the campaign AND a lot of mission without any crashes !!!
I must also say that i can run this game with the graphics at HIGH and everything enabled !
THis game rocks !!! I love it !!! (when it dosen't crash :) )
You're welcome. I do miss being able to take screenshots though. It seems like such a simple action considering all of the complicated suggestions floating out there. I'm glad that I was able to help.
