No Windows 7 client?
Yeah, I am on an older operating system. All the other new games support Win 7. I note min specs say Win 10. Is this actually the case 'cause seems, well, strange.

Add MSFS to the list and it doesn't even use DX12. It just uses windows features that only exist in windows 10.

OP Windows 7 extended support ended at the beginning of the year. I know they still push out security updates (even though they don't advertise it). But that is only because if they don't there could be millions of ghost machines out there forming a bot net. Same thing happened with XP. Just because they push security patches, doesn't mean it is a viable OS.

the game is dx12 exclusive meaning you need windows 10. just like horizon zero dawn and death stranding. and more games will be dx12 exclusive.

its time to move away from that dead UNSUPPORTED OS and upgrade to windows 10

Widows 7 became an unsupported OS on the 14th of January 2020 that nearly 9 months. No one should be using Windows 7 nowadays.

What you're saying, is to give your data to Microsoft, support a company that gave into Microsoft's DX12 and Windows 10 only demands, and get a worse computing experience?

You can get Windows 10 for like 15 bucks at CDKeys...

please not this again. Either get win 10 or be left out on more and more games

Win 7 does NOT support full DX12. Some games that use DX12 simply can not run on windows 7

Windows 7 has had the same telemetry and "data theft" protocols embedded in it as Win 10 has and it has been this way since early 2016. It was forced through critical updates and, because Windows 7/8.1 users already agreed to the terms for the OS, MS did not have to offer Win 7 or Win 8/8.1 users the same options to disable them as we now see during a Win 10 install, so the only OS that actively let's you easily disable it's telemetry services, is and has for years now, been Win 10. They did so because critics of MS's more recent telemetry services essentially demanded that it become an option to disable them due to privacy laws.

You've been living in a dream world, Neo.

Why is this game not released on NES. Bad devs :(

You can install Windows 10 for free via MS, and have been able to for years now. Not sure why people don't just take the dive.

There are apps to help you disable the data and programs that send data if you want.

However, realistically speaking, most people have a smart phone these days. Whether it is apple or google, doesn't matter. If you use amazon, facebook or instagram, same idea.

Microsoft Windows data is nothing to be overly concerned about. But I am sure the people that keep crying about windows 10 use facebook daily, obsess over IG models, watch netflix all day and buy all their music from apple or use google maps like it doesn't matter.

Logic, please use logic.

Only people that don't understand basic concepts say that. Windows 10, while it started with quirks is far superior to prior Windows versions. For a lot of things, but for me especially when it comes to things like GPU rendering.

Also Blanc is always the worst waifu. Always.

"Consoles are holding PC back!!"
"I don't want to update my OS to have full DX12 support wtf"

never fails, every dx12 game. We could've had better dx12 support by now.

Lies.

Now in 2020 would sit on 7, especially if you play games. Probably you have a sewing machine with a pedal drive and a window with the help of fire? All modern games are produced first of all for 10. Technology, you get such a thing that all the time has the property to develop. And if you are behind them, it is not a problem for developers.
And the fact that some modern games work with 7, says only that the developers do not fully use these latest technologies. Either they don't know how or they are lazy. So, you just have to accept that in such cases you are lucky, but now, in 2020, this is an early exception and luck, but not a fact.

yes, and also advertising in windows explorer for microsoft cloud and advanced data collection, forced updates, forced restarts, forced assistant,...

Should all new games work on Windows 95? If not, why should all new games work on Windows 7? MacOS, Windows, Linux distros, BSD, what have you. New version get released, and as they do, more and more of newly released software will be unsupported on older versions. This has always been true, and it will stay true.

Lmao no... you can just stop using explorer and use chrome or firefox, majority of the data collection can be turned off, the only forced updates are security updates and even these warn you in advance, what force restarts are you talking about? Oh and you can also turn cortana off
