Breaking into vaults as iron man?

With other characters, you just hold F for a heavy attack to break open secret areas but as Iron Man, it doesn't seem to break open the wall/glass.

There are specific lockouts in the warzone/adventure type areas that you need specific chars for. Those are hulk/kamala doors tmk.

If I'm playing solo but I have them as companions can I order them to break it or switch to them?

Nope. Kind of a stupid decision by the devs, but I think they wanted this as a MP game more than a SP one.

iron man is used for terminals entrence ones (they have a hive terminal in front of it) captain america and hulk/kamala can't get into it not sure about thor and black widow for the hive terminal treasure rooms

iron man can break the big doors in the hulkbuster, use the hold down heavy attack when he fires the fist off

Hulk, Thor and I think Kamala (I don't play her very much, but if she can't then use embiggen, it will work) can bust them open regularly. Iron Man can use the hulk buster to open them. Widow and Cap are the only two that can't do it at all. It sucks having to use your heroic up to bust them open but it sucks even more playing as the two weaker characters.

I don't think it is a wise investment to use a long charging move for a chest that is likely poor loot, but to each their own.

I mainly focus on playing as iron man and level him up first. When I come to those doors I am like whatever as you can find chests practically anywhere if you are up for exploring the map.

This is the most laughable design decision I have seen in a video game in nearly 30 years.

If you do not have one of the heroes that can break large doors, you are locked out of that side objective/loot.

This also applies to the terminals that require stealth. If you do not have Black Widow or Thor, you are locked out of side objectives/loot.

This will get exponentially worse as more heroes are released. Imagine in 2-3 years with the amount of new heroes. So many players will be missing objectives and loot due to them not being a "team player" and picking the wrong hero.

Fun game. Infant brain devs.

As Iron Man you can use your Super (the Hulk Buster) and use it's Heavy Attack to break down the doors.

It's annoying, but I don't think it's going to be as big of a deal as you make it out to be. Every wall I've busted down so far just had mediocre gear and a few resources, I think maybe one of them had a purple item in it. Besides, the loot progression in this game goes so fast I don't think it matters if you miss out on it. I'm switching out items for better ones after every mission, so unless there's some kind of legendary items or really rare resources behind those walls it's not going to make much of a difference.
