I haven't even got any of them on...
We need the game ready drivers now.
i don't have ♥♥♥♥ hardware, maybe the devs should do a better job at optimising a game if they are going to charge full retail price. Also its not a early access game, it's not marked on steam as an early access game.
I think you're right man! I've been using driver version 431.60 released July 2019 (suggested by Nixxes funnily enough LOL) and so far performance is as it should be - stutter free and silky smooth apart from any other optimisation issues that you'd possibly expect in addition to the odd rare crash here and there. I was on 456.38 from early access on September 1st.
I haven't tried any of the new game ready drivers but I suspect it'll be the same result for those of us having performance issues. The ONLY way I can get this game - and this game only mind you - running on any driver apart from 431.60 and on par in terms of performance, frametimes, ram usage etc is to use TAA with AMD's FidelityFX Sharpening set to on - any graphics settings work and the game behaves!
As soon as I even try to use SMAA or set it to off completely, the game almost immediately starts it's best slideshow impression and the GPU simply packs it's bags and walks out of my PC with utilisation at 0%. Other times I can get a couple of hours before it begins to choke.
I haven't bothered testing out anything further since the first two weeks from early access, I've been able to just play and make progress - enough time was wasted in trying to QA!
Yeah the game has issues I realise that, although the patches have improved things further on driver 431.60 for me so maybe it's worth trying the new ones out but in any case - there's something borked from July 2019 onwards in relation to this game, other folks may have different experiences with different driver versions for sure but players with similar specs and set ups are certainly having almost identical problems (i7 8700k, 32gb ram, rtx 2080Ti, Windows 10 2004).
Watch Dogs looks pretty decent actually and Cyberpunk amongst others is out next month so if new drivers don't make an appearance by then, I won't be able to continue playing Avengers or drop in for content without changing drivers? Or don't use ray-tracing in those other games?
LOL
We need new drivers asap unless I'm missing something....I dunno any more man!
