trouble logging into to square enix account, have some questions
i seem to have forgotten my old password for my sq enix account. when i go to the website to recover my account, it only gives me the altertnative method of logging in with my connected accounts, either steam or my ffxiv account.

i am wondering what exactly is needed to loggin when you first connect to the game, what info and such.... do you need your username and password im guessing? or if you were already linked to steam did it just auto log you in.... curious how long it will take enix to respond to my ticket so wondering if i would be better off making a new enix account for avengers so i can play at launch

i do belive it has been said its your SE account they want

i dont know if you have linked your steam/ps4/xbox account before hand if it skips or not

The SE account is separate from the FFXIV account. If you never created one in the past, you'll need to set one up and link it to Steam. You can also link your FFXIV account while doing that.

i have one but forgot the password.... when i go to reset the password instead of giving me a reset link... it just gives me the option to sign in with my ffxiv account info or my steam info. via the email .. no actual option to reset it....

Hmm, strange. You might need to open a support ticket with SE then, they could potentially force a password reset.

does it have you log into ur square enix account in game when u first launch it if you already have it linked on the website to steam? or will i have to manually log into it in game at launch even if there linked... as im skeptical that they will get back to me in time for early access tommarow

The way it worked in beta, once you linked the accounts it just automatically connected in-game.
