Towing Cars parked entirely on the sidewalk deducts CP
Basically the title. I lost a lot of CP for towing cars that were quite literally entirely on the sidewalk.

A source of confusion here may be that "parking on sidewalk" charge is only for the cars that have a wheel or two on the sidewalk. For vehicles totally on the sidewalk, it is "special zone" -> "no parking zone".

That's not the problem here. The car was fully on the sidewalk, like it says in the OP, and towing (NOT writing a ticket - again, like it literally says in the OP) was the action that caused loss of CP.

That is the problem here. You have to cite a vehicle first, then tow it if the citation is a towable offense. If you don't use the proper citation type, you get docked CP. If you tow it without properly citing it, you get docked CP.

Vehicles parked completely off the roadway (that is not a valid parking spot... because you do have to watch for those next to driveways near buildings) are not cited as "Parking on Sidewalk", they are cited as "No Parking Zone" which is a towable citation. "Parking on Sidewalk" is not.

That is a bizarre design choice, but alright.

Yeah, there's a number of them. This isn't even the worst one. Just wait until you get to drug busts. That's all sorts of fun trying to put together how, when, and who to arrest for what in a justified manner.

Thanks for the warning about the towed cars. I've often thought about being a bit less strict and just towing the cars without writing a ticket, since towing is already enough punishment, but now I'll be sure to write tickets for everything.

Not a problem at all, glad to be of help.

I stopped being less strict about it when I got to a vehicle that racked up 3 parking violations, none of which were towable. Not to mention that Expired Meter should be towable (yeah, real life you get a couple tickets to return to your vehicle, but here the parked vehicles don't move unless you quit out in the middle of the shift). Not to mention all the ones that can't be towed because mechanics (parking lots, sidewalks, crosswalks, etc).
