I really hope I won't have this problem doesn't happen again as it really is demotivating to play after something like that happens.

2. I returned maybe after 1 hour. There was no save file.
3. No, only the built in windows defender.

5. I think I was online all the time. But my internet ins't the most stable.

8. The happen I opened the game after not playing. Before I closed the game I saw the options tot continue where I last stopped playing. But later when I re opened my game that option was gone and I only had the option to make a new game.
Are you refering to the duty starts or to shift points?
The duty stars are capped at the moment. Each district update will add 10 duty stars to the games progression

No.
2. When you returned back to the game, was there no save file or was there a save file with wrong progress?
No save file, just "New Game"

Just Windows Defender

Yes
5. Did you play the game offline on steam and then at some point went online - cloud save active?
Are your Cloud Saves gone? (you can check that when logged into steam via the following link: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=997010
Online only. Online the only thing saved is gameoptions.sav
6. Can you check if the folder where the save file is saved was write protected?
Not write protected. Created a text document as described.

101 minutes
8. Did this issue happen when you loaded a save file or when you started a new game ?
No option to load save file or start new game. This was directly after my first time playing.

6. Can you check if the folder where the save file is saved was write protected? One way to check this is trying to save a text file manually in the save folder
Go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Boston\Saved\SaveGames
Right click -> New -> Text Document -> Write something in the text file and save it.
If the save was successful then user has write permission , if not then user does not have write permissions

I played online, the only thing saved is gameoptions.sav

Well I don't know, around 2-3 hours maybe.

It happened right in the game, it crashed and voila, my save files were gone when I went back and the only thing I could do is "New Game", which I did NOT press.
