Game Crash’s at Launch

Please can anyone help me!? I played this game a while back for a couple hours now I go to hop on and it gives me LowLevelFatal error and says my device had been removed. I’ve tried every possible fix I’ve seen online still nothing works. Anyone else still having this problem?

Same here. Started with their last free state police content update.

I sent my crash logs but they just brushed me off on a random forum post that contained the error.

All other, and more intensive games, work perfectly.

I’ve done the following steps:
-Downgraded the driver version for my 1040.
-Removed all overlay programs (GeForce, Omen, Discord, etc.)
-Used Steam verify
-Removed and reinstalled the game
-Removed my user account completely and built a new Windows user from scratch.
-Did a five pass deep memory scan.
-Changed all the recommended registry settings, and card defaults.
-Removed and reinstalled the Intel video drivers.

Nadda.


The error references a drive letter I don’t have. I’m wondering if there is some kind of virtual drive they’re spinning up for dynamic content my system security settings are preventing from attaching.

I got the “drive disconnected” sound right before the first crash.

I think I narrowed the problem down to games running UE 5, after the latest round of Windows/NVIDIA updates the first week of October.

All games that use UE 5 crash at startup. Everything else is running smoothly.
