How to start up Highway Patrol Expansion?

Hi guys,

After not playing "Patrol officers" for ages, I decided to start the game all over from scratch. So, I did an uninstall and reinstall, including the "Highway Patrol" expension. Is there a way to play the "Highway Patrol" expension seperately from "Patrol Officers" itself, or do I need to just start "Patrol Officers" and work my way up to the "Highweay Patrol"? The main screen does not give me any clarity on that.

You just start the game and Highway Patrol is a part of it.

You really have to "work your way up".
Once you have 3 service stars, you can also use the highway.

If you have purchased the Highway DLC, it will also be installed automatically.

From what I have read (I don't have the DLC yet), you have to select a district (Melting Point, Downtown or Brickston) in the shift plan and then zoom out.
