Have to stop at every red light?
So I get a call out to handle an accident, okay GREAT! I turn on my lights...no problem, I speed to get there...no problem, I turn on my siren....i lose cp points, ummm...okay. I come up to a red light, on my way to an accident and I have to stop and wait at the light or I lose 3 cp for ignoring red light. REALLY? What am I doing wrong or is this just something over looked in the game. To me that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I can drive as fast as I want to a car accident but have to stop at the red lights.

If the callout is for a major accident (emergency), you can turn on lights and sirens and speed to the accident. You are immune to any traffic violations unless you hit a car or run someone over. However, you must use your siren to avoid penalties.
If the callout is for a minor accident (non-emergency), you cannot use your siren and you have to follow all standard traffic laws. Using your siren to get to a non-emergency callout will get you docked CP.

Note: The red lights can be a bit iffy. Sometimes you will turn onto a road and be penalized for going through its red light rather than the green light of the road you are turning off of.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me!!!

CP loss for illegitimate use of the siren only occurs when you leave it on for too long (about three or four seconds). So if you turn on the siren just before you hit the intersection with the light and turn it right off when you passed it, you get across without losing CP.

This is especially useful when the minor accident is far away and you wouldn't get there on time if you obeyed all the traffic rules.

Not *entirely* sure, but I think that only happens if the turn is illegal.

@behrminator It seems to happen more often on left turns, particularly when there is oncoming traffic.
