When I walk down the street people greet me how do I answer them??

You must be standing in front of them, and then click your Use key.

In front of them, but not directly in front of them. As in, too close. You have to be a little ways away from them. But not too far. And definitely turned the right way. And you probably don't want to have something you can aim in your hands, lest you find your aim button disabled.

All for that 2 SP interaction. Honestly, you're better off ignoring them.
