When i arrest someone with a switchblade it deducts points

Why? is there a way to confiscate evidence?

Have you correctly chosen it as the actual arrest reason? Usually, this applies:

Initiating an arrest by handcuffing is justified, when the suspect carries illegal items, for example a switch blade, illegally carried gun or drugs.

I choose it as the reason for sure but every time it deducts points

What was the reason for the search? If it wasn't a justified search, then it doesn't matter if they were carrying an illegal item

Playing it now and it’s still a problem, I basically have to just ignore that crime now. Even when the game prompts me that they’re carrying a switchblade or a gun it deducts points.

It tends to be when you’ve arrested them for something else and then search them and then add that on as a liability. But you can’t search them without cause…

For me it was pulling someone over for some other justified reason,. such as a traffic stop, speeding, ruing a red light, etc. Then getting a justified reason to ask them to step out of the car (green crums, acting nervous, etc), and then finally arresting them for something like driving under THC, so I search their car, find a switchblade and try to add it as a liability, but get deducted points for it.

Also add firearms into that as well, as the same thing happened when I was searching a persons vehicle and found a gun when the database said they didn't have a gun permit. I tried adding it as a change and instead got deducted points, despite how when I found the gun it was logged as me discovering an illegal item.

Make sure you check the ID first then search, I only have a problem adding charges when my search is unjustified or the game picks it up before actually finding it. If that happens its really a hit or miss, something tells me that's a bug though. Like I search the person and it says found illegal item but they only have a map on their person nut I find the illegal handgun in the car. Idk why it registers like that, its weird.
