Snarled Traffic
Wondering if any of the veterans can give me some pointers on how to keep traffic from getting horrible around the checkpoint stops, as well as accidents?

I've tried to work 2 check points so far, and both times, they've had accidents occur, and eventually nobody can move. I feel like I should be able to get people to move around, but the reverse and U-Turn signals can only do so much (and I'm seeing them refused often, even by the last car in line).

I'm aware the game is a bit twitchy in some aspects (like this one), but I'm enjoying it anyway.

I think it comes down pretty much of how you park your policecar. In my experience there is more likly accidents if you don't make a proper blocing of the traffic lanes leading up to the scene. I use my policecar and position is over the lanes I need to have sealed off - with siren lights flashing. That's the fastest way to seal off the accident. Sometimes I add cones aswell. Time is factor here to seal the lanes asap. Accidents in the traffic jams still might happen, but more rarely I think.

I'm not sure if I have access to cones yet. Also, I've been responding on foot (so far). I'm pretty new to the game, which is probably evident, due to my boyish optimism. (The discussions on this game are harsh!!!!)

I know I screwed a few things up. I learned that the order you get the wreckers in is important (or can be, anyway). I'm not sure the proper order of operations, though. Ask for ID, then ask what they saw? Breath-ilize everyone? When does a drug test make sense?

Not entirely related, but I'm not really clear when a tell ("that person just littered!") is actionable. Is that enough "suspicion?" Maybe I'm getting the wrong people, but I've been penalized pretty much every time, so far, responding to those prompts.

Appreciate the help! Thanks so much!
