2. Of course you can still finish your assignment.
3. Depending on the length of the shift, you have enough time until you actually finish your shift.
Admittedly, squeezing 8 hours into 25 minutes doesn't leave much tolerance for finishing the shift. (I always play for at least 60 minutes.)
I have to admit that I have never returned to the station so late that there were "penalties" (-CP)
Lol She absolutely is "shouting" when she's saying "return to the station NOW". Dispatchers and officers certainly have the ability to transmit an attitude over the radio and those always end up in telephone calls between road patrol and the dispatch supervisor. Once you get your "radio ear" down pat, you can tell if your dispatcher is having a bad day or hasn't been really paying attention to the radio traffic, in the middle of eating (yep, I can hear you eat your salad...) To my ear, she's shouting and she's not in charge of me. She needs to knock it off. :)
as for the rest of it, I wasn't implying you can't finish your current assignment nor criticizing gameplay decisions made to ensure the game is playable and fun.
If they made it like it really is, no one would probably want to play it. As it is, the game certainly provides the feel of what its like and that's what's really important. I really just want the dispatcher to quit nagging me at the end of the shift. I'm only speaking for myself when I say it's really annoying to me... Most likely because it would annoy me in real life.
