Of course, a police officer could tell while driving whether a license plate has expired, whether a driver is probably drunk (driving), whether he has used a turn signal or not.
What is more difficult is using the computer while driving to see whether a vehicle has been reported stolen.
It would be nice if these things were separated.
It would greatly reduce the benefit of the SPV, but it would also be more realistic.
The computer would usually notify the officer with a sound that it's on a hotsheet so they don't have to have their face in the computer and what it was involved in so the officer knows how to react.
It can scan all offenses that can be detected in focus mode.
Admittedly, I don't know whether that includes stolen vehicles. If so, I haven't had that yet.
Everything else it would point out are more obvious things, pike red light running, DUIs, etc.
It'll be nice if we can add Plate Readers to all the vehicles. They can just have an add-on to be unlocked through Duty Stars. I'd love to drive the SUV that hold 4 Suspects with Plate Readers.
