What is a good police game?
Back in the day, I absolutely LOVED La. Noir. One of the best games I have ever played. So much story, so much emotion. Unfortunately, not a big hit. Does anyone has played a good game like this game? Is police simulator a good game? I really hope so! I would love to begin as a police officer and working my way up the ranks. Does this game have this sort of gameplay?

They are very different games. LA Noir is more dramatic and story oriented combined with light procedure. Police Simulator (which I just started) is very dry and procedure oriented. So it's up to you if you enjoy that but I can see how people may not enjoy it. In fact my first impression of Police Sim was that it was boring but I just played for the second time and did a couple of shifts that I took seriously (where I was just poking around before to see what it was about) and I enjoyed it.

But yah, in police sim you start as a rookie walking beat cop, I don't have a vehicle or anything yet after two shifts. But I'm really enjoying playing now. I'm looking forward to playing with a friend, I think it will be fun playing co-op as police partners in our cruiser and what not.

This. Despite all of the issues with LSPDFR it remains the gold standard for police sims. This game has serious potential, though.

It's my only perfect game with 100% achievements and took awhile during EA days. Now that the new updates are out I can start all over again. My hope is for dlc add-ons such as Bank Robbery, Domestic Dispute, and Road Rage Event in the future. I never had return thoughts during my return window opportunity.

This is not true by the way. "Shortly after release, a group of former Team Bondi employees launched a website called lanoirecredits.com, containing over 100 names excluded or incorrectly listed in the official credits. An anonymous employee claimed he was asked to work 10–12 hours every day, including weekends.
Following this, in a report by IGN, several anonymous members of the team publicly discussed the studio's managerial, staff turnover rates, and working hours and conditions associated with L.A. Noire; some claimed McNamara had been controlling and verbally abusive, and others spoke about their increased workload as a result of high turnover. Several referenced the ongoing crunch throughout development; one claimed to occasionally work between 80 and 110 hours per week to meet some development milestones. Some ex-employees claimed they were not paid for overtime, which McNamara refuted." That game gave developers a bad taste why we never got a second one and made Rockstar Games look bad.
