Arresting someone with fake id deducts points?

why devs why has this not been fixed yet, we lose points even if we're doing the right thing..

If you're trying to stack charges, the mechanic is bugged. To work around it, press E (on PC) to add the charge to the charge list and add it from there rather than selecting it directly from the liability reason menu.

Nah I frisked a random person who looked sketchy, lost points, asked to check for id lost points, id was fake so I detained them lost points

If you didn't have the intuition system tell you something like "This person looks nervous," the frisk is unjustified, as well as any action like arresting them that results from the frisk.
Sometimes people just look shifty without having done anything wrong.

its bugged and then sometimes its not
a fake id shows no records at all just all NA'S
it will deduct if you choose fake
a stolen id is also bugged
i had a white women with a Mohawk she had a Asian women id but i got deducted

Every time I've had someone with a fake ID, as in it shows a woman called Julia and this is clearly a guy...I arrest or do the liability thing for fake id, and lose points every time, which bugs the rest of it, as I lose points no matter what I do afterwards, as the game thinks this person is 'innocent' when they're clearly not...

Edit: I tried the pressing E on PC thing, to 'stack' violations, but it still deducted points for fake id reporting...even if it's clearly fake.

I figured out the problem (hopefully). If it's not with the liability reason bug it's this:
FAKE ID is when the background check has no info and everything is listed as n/a.
STOLEN ID is when the ID actually has a background check entry but it's clearly not the same person. @Karegian, in your case, the arrest should have been for a stolen ID, not a fake ID.

The fake ID vs stolen ID has taken another officer hostage. Lol. That is all part of policing in Brighton, details matter. Happy patrolling.
